About Us

What would we like you to know about the Family of God? Our Vision and Mission Statements are available for you to read. We hope that these brief, yet revealing statements give you some important insight into who we are, how we view ourselves, and what we see as our purpose in this community and world. But, here are a few brief things that we would like you to know as well. The Family of God:

Is a community of people who believe that the fearless pursuit of God, in all His glory and transformative power is the highest calling of humanity – period.
Is made up of people who come from many traditions, and sometimes we also carry the religious prejudices of our past. While we are proud of our heritage, sometimes for the good, sometimes not, we are committed to the proposition: “That while we are proud of our heritage, we are not prisoners of the traditions of that heritage.”
Knows that change is not only necessary it is a prerequisite of true life. Therefore, not only have we changed, we are committed to a community wide, ongoing process of introspective re-evaluation, searching for more loving and effective ways of being the house where God and His family live.
Believes that the only picture of God’s kingdom and people in this world, found in the Bible, is one of Victory and Transformative Power. We believe that history: past, present and future, is in reality His-Story. Not one of demise and defeat for His people leading to ultimate rescue. Rather, it is a picture of ongoing transformative success, if –“IF” His people believe.

We hope that a continued search of this site will give you a better feel for the culture and pulse of the Family of God in Ardmore, Oklahoma. You are indeed welcome to come as you are, baggage included and join with us as we pursue the God who fearlessly pursued us.
